Google Pixel Watch 3 Review
Updated, Lithuania-focused review: two case sizes (41 and 45 mm), Actua LTPO AMOLED up to 2000 nits, Fitbit sensor suite, UWB, Wear OS 5, and what LTE usage means with our operators.
Third generation: what’s important?
The Pixel Watch 3 is the third-generation Google watch, offering two sizes, a bright Actua display, Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 platform, 2 GB RAM, and 32 GB storage, as well as a UWB module for more precise proximity detection and future device searching. Nominal battery life is up to ~24 hours with AOD and up to ~36 hours with power saving mode enabled.
Design and display: more space, more brightness
Relevant improvements
- Sizes: 41 mm and 45 mm aluminum cases with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
- Display: LTPO AMOLED Actua – up to 2000 nits peak brightness, 1–60 Hz, AOD; practically excellent readability outdoors.
- Durability: IP68 and 5 ATM (dust and water resistant; physical impacts may reduce resistance).
These design and display specifications are recorded in the official Google Store specifications (LT/GB), making them a reliable reference point when choosing size and display.
Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 + Wear OS 5
The Pixel Watch 3 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 with a Cortex-M33 co-processor, has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash storage. Wear OS 5 ensures smoother animations, better energy efficiency, and deeper Google and Fitbit integration.
How long does it actually last?
The 41 mm model has a 307 mAh battery, while the 45 mm has a 420 mAh battery. The manufacturer states ~24 hours with AOD and up to ~36 hours with Battery Saver enabled. Fast charging via USB-C cable: 41 mm – about 24 min to 50% and ~60 min to 100%; 45 mm – about 28 min to 50% and ~80 min to 100%.
Fitbit data on your wrist
- Sensors: optical HR, EKG-compatible electrodes, SpO₂, skin temperature, cEDA (stress response) sensor, altimeter, barometer, compass, multi-system GNSS.
- Safety: fall detection, SOS, Safety Check, and Loss of Pulse Detection – the latter receiving FDA approval in the US in 2025 and being implemented in the Pixel Watch 3; in the EU, this feature has been enabled earlier, depending on regulations.
- Fitbit Premium and AI: readiness insights, load scores, and recommendations based on the Google/Gemini ecosystem.
Wi-Fi, UWB, Bluetooth 5.3, and eSIM nuances
Both Pixel Watch 3 sizes support Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz), NFC, GPS, and UWB, providing more precise proximity and device searching capabilities.
LTE in Lithuania. Major operators – Telia, Bitė, and Tele2 – offer eSIM/“one number” solutions for watches, but the official Google list of LTE-supported operators in the Baltic states, including Lithuania, typically does not mention them. In practice, LTE will only work if a specific operator clearly supports the Pixel Watch series in their listings and plans. Before purchasing the LTE version, it is essential to check compatibility with your existing plan and device list.
Google’s documentation also states that when activating 4G LTE, the same phone number is used in the watch (the “one number” principle), but a compatible operator and plan are required.
Maps, Wallet, Assistant/Gemini, Home
Wear OS 5 provides local Google Maps (including offline), Wallet, Assistant/Gemini, Calendar, Home, and camera control features; with Pixel phones, integration is deeper (unlocking with the watch, quick replies, etc.).
Who is the Pixel Watch 3 best suited for?
| Criterion | Google Pixel Watch 3 | Samsung Galaxy Watch (7/Ultra) | Garmin Venu 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| OS | Wear OS 5 | Wear OS with One UI | Garmin OS |
| Strengths | Deep Google/Fitbit integration, UWB, bright display | Wide Galaxy ecosystem, good LTE support with LT operators | Very long battery life, sports metrics |
| LTE in Lithuania | Depends on operators’ official lists and plans | Often supported with “One Number” type services | Often without LTE |
Note: specific model capabilities and durations depend on versions; check official pages and operator lists before purchasing.
Real examples from LT stores and price aggregators
- 41 mm, Wi-Fi: usually ~267–313 € (Varle.lt and others via kaina24).
- 45 mm, Wi-Fi: usually ~319–400 € (various retailers).
- 45 mm, LTE: about ~450–555 € (e.g., Varle.lt).
Prices vary due to promotions and supply; when purchasing the LTE version, first check operator compatibility.
Is it worth it?
If you use a Pixel or another Android phone and want modern health monitoring with Fitbit analytics, the Pixel Watch 3 is an attractive choice: bright display, full sensor suite, UWB, and Wear OS 5. However, LTE convenience in Lithuania depends on operators – before acquiring the LTE version, confirm that your plan and operator officially support this series. If LTE is not needed, the Wi-Fi model offers almost all features at a lower price.
