• Display module specification: the iPhone 13 mini has a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2,340 × 1,080 pixels and a density of 476 ppi. After the repair we restore the True Tone function so that the screen keeps a more natural colour balance.

2. iPhone 13 mini battery replacement and common faults

• Battery specification: Because of its small body, the iPhone 13 mini has a 9.34 Wh, 2,406 mAh battery. The manufacturer specifies up to 17 hours of video playback. With daily use of 5G, navigation, the camera and social media apps, the battery wears faster. The phone supports 20 W wired charging and 15 W MagSafe wireless charging. If you charge the phone several times a day, it is worth checking the battery condition.

Common battery faults and symptoms

• Capacity loss: After 500 to 800 charge cycles, capacity often drops below 80 percent. The phone no longer lasts the whole day, works more slowly in the cold, and sometimes shuts down while still showing 10 to 15 percent remaining.

• Overheating and rapid discharge: The compact body has less room to dissipate heat. Games, 5G, video recording and long charging warm up the device. A worn battery handles load worse, so the phone heats up more often.

• Battery swelling: Accumulated gas swells the battery and lifts the screen. In this case, do not press on the phone. Pressure damages the panel, the frame or the flex cables. An urgent replacement is needed.

• Charging problems: Not every charging fault means a bad battery. The problem is often caused by a dirty Lightning port, a damaged flex cable or the charging IC controller. A check shows which part is causing the fault.

Professional battery diagnostics: Before replacement, we check charge cycles (Cycle Count), actual capacity, open circuit voltage (OCV) and BMS (Battery Management System) errors. This helps distinguish a worn battery from a charging circuit fault.

3. Repair of cameras, buttons and other components

• Camera module: the iPhone 13 mini has a dual 12 MP camera system, a main camera with Sensor shift stabilisation and an ultra-wide camera. We fix focus problems, a shaking image and non-working stabilisation, and replace scratched outer camera lens glass. After the repair we check focus, video recording and photos in different lighting.

• Buttons: If volume or power buttons stick, we check for dust, moisture and corrosion. We clean the contacts or replace the full button flex cable assembly, then test the button travel and response.

• Lightning charging port: If the phone charges only when the cable is tilted or does not respond to the charger, we check the port, the cable, the battery and the charging circuit. When the port is damaged, we replace the original Lightning flex cable. The bottom microphone is also integrated into it.

• Speakers and microphones: We bring back clear sound. If the people you talk to cannot hear you, the sound breaks up or music plays muffled, we clean the protective meshes and check the audio modules. If cleaning is not enough, we replace the damaged parts.

• Face ID repair: Impacts and moisture often damage the TrueDepth camera system, the proximity sensors or their flex cables. We carry out micro-soldering and check the facial recognition function after the repair. This work requires precision, because Face ID parts are paired with the specific phone.
