Glass and screen replacement

• The iPhone 8 Plus has a 5.5-inch Retina HD IPS LCD screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution and the 3D Touch function. On this model it is important to distinguish glass damage from a fault in the whole screen module, because the repair price depends on it.

• If only the outer glass has cracked and the image stays bright, with no coloured lines, stains or black pixels, we replace only the glass. This way you keep a working screen and pay less.

• If you see colour distortion, black stains, flickering or touch does not work, we replace the whole screen. In that case we repair the liquid crystal and touch layer module.

Battery replacement and common faults

• The original iPhone 8 Plus battery is a Li Ion type with 2691 mAh and 10.28 Wh capacity. Over time its capacity decreases, and the phone runs for less time. This is especially noticeable when using the camera, navigation or mobile internet.

• The most common signs of a battery fault:

  • The battery discharges quickly. After roughly 400 to 500 charge cycles its capacity often drops below 80 percent.
