Why does Asus repair require experience?
“Asus” phones use designs that differ from many other models. In the ROG Phone series, the manufacturer often fits a dual-battery system, a side charging port, gaming sensors and GameCool cooling with a vapour chamber. Careless disassembly or unsuitable thermal materials can reduce cooling performance, making the phone hotter during gaming or charging.
Zenfone 8 Flip models use a rotating camera mechanism. Replacing the camera module alone is not enough: the flex cables, mechanism movement, connectors and housing also need checking. Even a small misalignment after repair can affect movement, focus or stability.

In “Asus” phones, especially in the ROG Phone series, high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays need careful handling. We replace the complete display module or, where the design allows it safely, just the glass. Afterwards, we test touch response, colours, brightness, the proximity sensor and any fingerprint reader built into the display.
When gaming, low input lag, known as low latency, matters. The display must respond accurately, without delay or false touches. A poor-quality screen or incorrect installation is noticeable in games, when typing and during fast scrolling.
2. Battery replacement and power management check
“Asus” models are often fitted with high-capacity batteries. In some ROG Phone models the capacity reaches up to 6000 mAh. We replace batteries with ones that meet the manufacturer’s specifications and support HyperCharge fast charging. After the replacement, we check the charging speed, temperature and the phone’s stability under load.
Rapid battery drain, heat during charging, shutdowns with charge remaining or slow charging do not always mean the battery has failed. The charging port, power-management controller or software may be responsible. Diagnostics help avoid unnecessary part replacements.
3. AirTrigger and additional connector repair
ROG Phone owners often come to us with faults in the AirTrigger ultrasonic buttons, the side charging port or the accessory contacts. These parts are important when gaming, connecting cooling accessories and charging the phone horizontally.

4. Cooling system and housing sealing
Once an “Asus” phone has been opened, the cooling layer must be properly restored and the housing carefully reassembled. We choose thermal materials according to the design of the specific model. This is especially important for phones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or other powerful processors, as they generate more heat under heavy load.
After the repair, we check that the housing closes correctly, that no gaps remain and that the buttons and connectors work smoothly. Such a check helps reduce the risk of overheating, dust ingress and recurring contact faults.
