• Processor: A14 Bionic, 6-core CPU with 2 performance and 4 efficiency cores, 4-core graphics and a 16-core Neural Engine. This chip ensures smooth performance with apps, the camera, games and everyday tasks.
• Memory: 4 GB RAM. Internal storage options are 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. The iPhone 12 Mini uses NVMe-type storage. This model has no memory card slot, so it is worth choosing the storage capacity based on your usage habits. If you film a lot in 4K resolution, choose a larger capacity.
• Display: 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, about 476 ppi. Contrast reaches up to 2,000,000 : 1, and brightness in HDR mode reaches up to 1200 nits. The display is covered with Ceramic Shield glass. It is more resistant to drops than earlier Apple glass solutions, but an impact on a corner or a hard surface often damages the glass or the OLED layer.
• Body: aerospace-grade aluminium frame and a glass back. The phone has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. Apple specifies resistance to submersion at a depth of up to 6 metres for up to 30 minutes. After a drop, bending or a previous repair, the sealing is often reduced. If the phone has got wet, it is worth checking the connectors and the board as soon as possible.
• Cameras: dual 12 MP rear camera. The wide camera has an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilisation. The ultra-wide camera has an f/2.4 aperture and a 120-degree field of view. On the front there is a 12 MP TrueDepth camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The cameras support Night mode, Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 3 and 4K video recording at up to 60 frames per second.
• Connectivity: 5G sub 6 GHz, LTE Advanced, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC with Reader Mode and MagSafe. MagSafe works with magnetic accessories, cases, holders and wireless charging up to 15 W.
• Battery: built-in Li ion battery, 2,227 mAh capacity, 3.83 V nominal voltage, about 8.53 Wh. Apple specifies up to 15 hours of video playback and up to 50 hours of audio playback. Fast charging charges up to 50 percent in about 30 minutes when you use a 20 W or more powerful adapter. MagSafe wireless charging reaches up to 15 W, Qi wireless charging up to 7.5 W.
• Charging and data port: the Lightning connector is used for charging and data transfer. This area often suffers from dust, moisture, oxidation, mechanical movement of the cable and low-quality accessories. If the cable wobbles, it is worth checking the connector itself first.

1. Screen glass replacement
   The iPhone 12 Mini has a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Ceramic Shield glass. The display module consists of the outer glass, the touch layer, the OLED panel and internal contacts. If only the glass is cracked and the image is shown without spots, lines, flickering or black areas, we replace the outer glass. This is a cheaper solution than replacing the whole screen. This way we keep the original OLED display, its colours and touch sensitivity. This work requires precise lamination, a clean environment and vacuum equipment. The OLED layer is sensitive to dust, pressure and imprecise heating, so before the work we check the image, touch and the condition of the frame.
2. Full screen replacement
   We replace the whole screen when the OLED panel or the touch layer is damaged. Such a fault is indicated by black dots, green or white lines, spots, flickering, a faint image, phantom touches or an unresponsive area of the screen. We replace the complete module with the touch layer and the OLED display. We offer original Apple screens and high-quality OEM replacements. Before reassembly we check brightness, colours, touch, the proximity sensor and the True Tone function, where the specific part and the condition of the phone allow it.
3. Battery replacement
   The iPhone 12 Mini uses a 2,227 mAh Li ion battery. The small body means a smaller battery, so you will notice wear on this model sooner than on larger iPhone models. If the phone runs flat within a few hours, shuts down at 20 or 30 percent, heats up, charges slowly or shows poor Battery Health, the battery is worth replacing.
   • Capacity loss: after a few hundred charge cycles the battery often drops below 80 percent of its original capacity. Then the operating time gets shorter, the phone has to be charged more often, and the system limits performance.
   • Rapid discharge: the fault is caused by worn cells, a damaged control circuit or uneven voltage. The phone shows incorrect percentages, suddenly shuts down or charges unevenly.
   • Battery swelling: a swollen battery lifts the screen, presses on the body and damages internal components. In this case, stop charging and using the phone. We remove the battery carefully so as not to damage the cell. After the replacement we check the charging current, the battery status and how the phone works under load.
4. Charging port and Lightning flex cable replacement
   Charging port faults can cause a loose cable, charging on only one side of the connector, failed computer recognition or interruptions when the cable moves. Common causes include dirt, oxidised contacts and a damaged flex cable.
   • If dirt has built up in the connector, we clean it with special tips and isopropyl alcohol.
   • If the contacts are damaged, we replace the Lightning flex cable.
   • After the repair we measure the charging current with an ammeter, check data transfer and stable cable contact.
5. Replacement of buttons, cameras and other components
   • Volume and power buttons: faults arise from dust, drops, moisture or a damaged flex cable. If a button sticks, does not respond or works only when pressed hard, we clean the contacts or replace the module.
   • Ring/Silent switch: after long use the mechanical switch sticks, does not switch modes or stays in an intermediate position. We fix this fault by replacing the switch module.
   • Front and rear camera: after a drop or moisture the camera shows a blurry image, does not focus, flickers or does not turn on at all. We check the lenses, connectors, the module and the software response. When replacing a camera, we choose the part according to the model, resolution, focusing system and stabilisation requirements.
   • Speakers, microphones, vibration motor and sensors: these components often stop working due to dust, corrosion or impact. Before replacement we check whether the fault was caused by software, dirt or a damaged flex cable.
6. Logic board and motherboard repair
   When replacing a module does not solve the problem, we look for the fault on the motherboard. Such repair requires micro-soldering, schematic analysis and measuring equipment.
   • Moisture damage: water and oxidation damage contacts, fuses, capacitors and power circuits. We clean the board, inspect it under a microscope, measure the lines and replace damaged parts.
   • Power circuit faults: the phone does not turn on, restarts, heats up or shuts down under load. We use a laboratory power supply, an oscilloscope and micro-soldering equipment to find a short circuit or a damaged controller.
   • Touch IC faults: if the phone presses the screen by itself, does not respond to touch or registers touches incorrectly, we check the touch control circuit. If necessary, we carry out micro-soldering work on BGA components.
