What matters when repairing Nothing devices?
Each Nothing model has its own design, which determines how we dismantle it, select parts and test the repair. Even a small mistake can be visible through the transparent case.
Nothing Phone (2) and (2a) series: These models have curved glass and sensitive LED strips under the back cover. When replacing the battery, the screen or the back glass, the Glyph lighting elements must be protected. After reassembly we check whether the lights work evenly, whether the parts stay in place, and whether the body presses on internal components.
CMF Phone 1: This is the first model with a replaceable back cover and modular accessories. Its simpler exterior still needs the correct internal parts. Unsuitable covers, screws or fasteners weaken the case and can lead to creaking, gaps or loose accessories.
High-resolution displays: Nothing uses LTPO OLED in the Phone 2 model and Flexible AMOLED in the Phone 2a model. Both support a 120 Hz refresh rate. Screen replacement must preserve colour reproduction, touch sensitivity and the under-display fingerprint scanner. We test brightness, touch, the scanner and images on different backgrounds after repair.

1. Screen and glass replacement
A shattered screen is a common Nothing Phone fault. Thin bezels and a closely fitted screen require careful work. We first check whether only the glass is damaged or the OLED panel is affected too.
Glass replacement: If the OLED panel works well, we replace only the top glass. This way you keep the original screen and reduce the cost of the repair by up to 40 percent. This option is suitable when you see no black spots, lines or flickering, and touch works without problems.
Full screen module: We replace the whole module when you see bands, black spots or flickering on the screen, or touch does not work.
2. Battery replacement and power management
The Nothing Phone (2) has a 4700 mAh battery and the Phone (2a) has a 5000 mAh battery. If the phone runs flat quickly, heats up when charging with 45 W fast charging, shuts down while still showing remaining charge, or the battery has swollen, it needs to be replaced. A swollen battery presses on the screen and the body. In this case it is better not to wait.

3. Glyph interface and back glass repair
The transparent back is part of the Nothing Phone design. If cracked, we replace it and inspect the LED strips. We keep dust out because it is immediately visible beneath the glass, then check that the Glyph lighting responds to calls, notifications and charging.
4. Speaker, microphone and connector repair
If the other person cannot hear you, the sound has become muffled or the phone charges poorly, the problem often lies in the membranes, the microphone, the speaker or the USB C charging port. First we carry out an inspection and cleaning. If the part has been damaged by moisture, dust or a poor-quality cable, we replace it. After the repair we check charging, data transfer, microphone recording and sound.
