2. iPhone 12 Pro battery replacement and diagnostics
Battery specification: the phone has a 10.78 Wh, 2815 mAh lithium-ion battery. The A14 Bionic processor uses energy efficiently, but after 500 charge cycles, battery capacity often reaches 80 percent or less. The phone then runs for less time, heats up, charges slowly or shuts down while still showing charge.
3. Camera module and LiDAR sensor repair
The iPhone 12 Pro has a triple 12 MP camera system and a LiDAR scanner. This sensor helps take portraits in the dark, measures depth and improves augmented reality performance.

iPhone 12 Pro repairs
1. Screen glass replacement
Model feature: the iPhone 12 Pro screen is covered with Ceramic Shield glass. It is more resistant to drops than the glass of earlier models, but when the phone falls screen-down onto a hard surface, the edges or the whole surface often crack.

Charging problems: The phone heats up, charges slowly, charges only with a certain cable or shows the percentage inaccurately. In such cases we check the battery, the charging port and the power circuit.
4. Button, camera module and LiDAR replacement
Buttons: the iPhone 12 Pro side buttons are connected with thin flex cables. Most often the power button, the volume buttons or the silent mode switch stick. The fault is caused by an impact, moisture, a worn membrane or broken contacts.

5. Lightning charging port flex replacement
Specification: the Lightning port connects through a flex cable. This module carries charging, data transfer and some microphone functions.
Most common faults and symptoms
The phone no longer charges or charges only when the cable is held at a certain angle.
Corrosion appears in the port after moisture. This happens after rain, sport, bathroom steam or liquid getting in.
Poor cables damage the contacts. As a result the port heats up, charges slowly or no longer recognises the charger.
6. Speakers, microphone, vibration and Taptic Engine
Speakers: the iPhone 12 Pro has stereo speakers. One is at the bottom, the other at the top by the earpiece. If the sound crackles, cuts out, sounds quiet or muffled, we often find clogged filters, a damaged module or traces of moisture inside.
Microphone: The phone has several microphones for calls, video recordings and noise reduction. The signs of a fault are clear: the other person cannot hear you, your voice breaks up, speakerphone mode does not work or the sound in videos is muffled.
Taptic Engine: The vibration mechanism is responsible for haptic feedback. If the vibration is weak, rattles or does not work, we check the motor, the contacts and the mounting.
iPhone 12 Pro screen replacement
When to replace only the front glass: When the image is bright, there are no spots, lines or flickering and touch works without problems, replacing the glass is usually enough. Such a repair keeps the original OLED display and costs less than the whole module.
When to replace the whole screen: When the OLED layer, the touch sensor or the display controller is damaged, we replace the whole module. This is the right solution when the screen is black, flickers, shows lines, responds to touch inaccurately or part of the image no longer refreshes after an impact.

iPhone 12 Pro repair services
1. Front glass replacement
Model features: The iPhone 12 Pro screen is covered by Ceramic Shield glass, which is significantly more resistant to impacts than earlier models, but it can still crack, especially when dropped face down.
Common signs of damage: simply cracked or shattered glass cover, but the OLED screen itself remains intact (colors, contrast, touch response work without interruption).
Repair process: if only the protective glass is damaged, we replace only the broken glass (PRISM or Original OEM) – this saves the customer’s money and shortens the repair time. This job typically takes about 30–45 minutes.
2. Screen module replacement (OLED + glass)
Signs of damage: if colorful lines, spots, flickering appear, touch responds incorrectly or the screen is completely black, it means that not only the glass is damaged, but also the OLED matrix or its controller.
Screen construction: the iPhone 12 Pro uses a company-made 10-bit color depth OLED, so even minor damage can cause flickering, certain spots to “blink”, or even local pixel dropout.
Repair process: we replace the entire original or high-quality replacement screen module (including the OLED panel, touch sensor, Ceramic Shield glass, adhesive protective layers). Duration – about 1–1.5 hours.
3. Battery replacement
Battery specifications: the iPhone 12 Pro uses a built-in, lithium-ion battery of 2815 mAh (10.78 Wh, 3.79 V). The original battery is composed of several thin cells to fit into the 7.4 mm thick case.
Lifespan: the manufacturer indicates up to 500 full charging cycles until the capacity drops to ~80%. However, the actual capacity may decline faster, depending on charging habits, working temperatures, and system updates.
Common faults and symptoms
Capacity loss: after ~300–500 cycles the battery health drops below 80%, leading to noticeably shortened operating time.
Sudden shutdowns: the phone may turn off even when showing 20–30% battery remaining (often related to outdated iOS updates and aging chemistry).

5. Charging port (“Lightning”) flex cable replacement
Specification: the charging port is tightly connected to the main board via a flexible cable (“flex”).
Common faults and symptoms
Poor contact or disconnection of the sensing wires – the phone does not charge or only charges at certain angles.
Corrosion due to moisture ingress (especially during warm seasons when humidity is higher).
Low-quality replacement cables – the user buys a cheap cable that cannot withstand loads, causing some connectors to wiggle or break.
Repair process: we replace the entire Lightning port module along with the flex cable, update the speaker filter (if needed), and recommend using only MFi certified cables. Duration – up to 1 hour.
6. Other components: speakers, microphone, vibration mechanism, Taptic Engine
Speakers: the iPhone 12 Pro features integrated stereo speakers (one at the bottom, one at the top near the ears) with failures including distorted sound or no sound at all. Dust filters often get contaminated, or the acoustic valves (in the controller chips) get damaged.
Microphone: the microphone in the upper TrueDepth module or the main microphone at the bottom sends the speaker’s voice into the phone. Failures include background noise, or not working in speakerphone mode.
Vibration mechanism (Haptic Engine / Taptic Engine): the haptic engine may produce unusual sounds (“rattling or vibrating mechanics”) or stop working completely. This is usually due to dust ingress or worn wire contacts.
Repair process: we replace individual parts: the speaker module, microphone block, or vibration motor with soldered contacts. Duration – 30–60 minutes.
iPhone 12 Pro screen replacement
When glass-only replacement is suitable: the screen module construction allows for replacing only the cracked Ceramic Shield plates without disassembling the entire OLED. This is a cost-effective option when the screen functions without interruptions, there are no color changes or flickering.
When to replace the full screen (OLED + glass): a genuine OLED module consists of the glowing panel (video part) and sensor layer (touch, ambient light sensors, and other electronics) that are structurally bonded together. If any of these components are damaged, we recommend replacing the entire package with a new one.
Additional work: during screen replacement, we remove dust from the chips and inspect the logic board for hidden damage.
