About Apple Watch SE (2022) 44mm repairs
The Apple Watch SE (second generation, 2022 release) combines an S8 SiP processor with an LTPO OLED Retina display with a peak brightness of 1000 nits display. Careless work can damage sensitive Taptic Engine sensors or affect the water-resistant seals.
Apple Watch SE (2022) repair services
Screen glass replacement: If the panel has no black spots or coloured lines, we can replace just the outer glass. This preserves the original Apple OLED panel and saves up to 40% of the repair cost.
Complete display replacement: For display or touch faults, we fit high-quality OLED modules that meet OEM standards for brightness and colour.
Battery replacement (296–300 mAh): The original Apple Watch SE 44mm battery has a capacity of about 1.129 Wh (296 mAh). After about 500 charge cycles, capacity falls below 80%. We fit certified lithium-ion batteries to restore the original battery life.
Digital Crown and button repair: We clear blockages caused by dust, sweat salts or impacts and restore haptic feedback.
Charging system and coil resoldering: If the watch heats up without charging, the inductive charging flex cable may be damaged or its internal contacts oxidised.
Diagnostics before repair
Before every repair, Fixas technicians perform a free initial check using diagnostic methods specific to Apple:
Structural check: We examine the display layers and look for small cracks that could let moisture in.
Battery health test: We measure cycle count, internal resistance and discharge behaviour to distinguish battery wear from software faults.
Seal assessment: We check the housing adhesives and use specialist UV adhesives and sealants during reassembly.
Common Apple Watch faults and prevention
Battery swelling: A swollen battery can lift the display. If the screen starts cracking from inside or the bezel separates, bring the watch in promptly.
Oxidation: Even water-resistant models need to be rinsed with fresh water after contact with salt or chlorine. Otherwise, charging contacts and the speaker membrane suffer.
Software freezes: If the watch operates slowly, we perform watchOS reconfiguration and power-management optimisation to reduce unnecessary background activity.
