Repairs we carry out on the Huawei MatePad 10.4 2020
Screen glass replacement
Model display: 10.4″ IPS, 2000×1200 px, 16:10. The glass is made of Gorilla Glass 3.
Most common problems: cracks, micro-scratches, glass delamination.
An urgent job takes from 1 to 2 hours. We replace only the glass when the LCD part is intact, with no coloured spots, lines or flickering.
Full display module replacement
We replace the module when the LCD panel is damaged. Signs include coloured stripes, spots, faded areas or flickering.
We fit original or OEM display modules so that your tablet keeps accurate colours and good touch sensitivity.
Battery replacement
Battery: Li-Po 7250 mAh, 3.82 V, 27.8 Wh.
Most common faults: battery swelling, loose contacts, uneven charging, rapid capacity loss. After 500 cycles, capacity often drops below 80 percent of the original value.
The job takes from 1 to 2 hours. We install tested, certified Huawei batteries and replace the thermal insulation stickers.
Charging port and flex cable repair
Dust, moisture, corrosion and physical damage are common causes of USB-C port faults. A bent control flex cable can also cause problems.
We replace the damaged parts or micro-solder a new flex cable contact. After repair, we check charging, the fit of the connector and data transfer.
Button and camera module replacement
We fix power and volume button faults, as well as camera focusing problems.
We replace them with original modules. A properly assembled housing better protects the inside from dust.
Huawei MatePad 10.4 screen and glass replacement
After a drop or impact, the glass may crack or shatter, or the touch surface may become inaccurate. Replacing the complete LCD and glass assembly costs more than replacing only the outer Gorilla Glass. If the panel still works properly, glass replacement can reduce your repair cost.
Glass replacement: we do this if the LCD is undamaged, with no coloured spots, lines, black areas or flickering.
Full display module replacement: we choose this when the LCD part is damaged or clear IPS backlight defects are visible.
We work with original parts or high-quality equivalents that preserve colour reproduction, brightness and touch sensitivity.
Huawei MatePad 10.4 battery replacement
The Huawei MatePad 10.4 2020 has a 7,250 mAh Li-Po battery. Its average lifespan is about 500 charge cycles. If your tablet runs down faster, heats up or switches off while still showing charge remaining, it is worth checking the battery condition.
Capacity loss: after 18 to 24 months, capacity often drops by more than 20 percent, shortening battery life.
Battery swelling: due to internal chemical reactions, the housing starts to bulge, the edges open up or the screen is pressed unevenly.
Not charging or slow charging: a common cause is a dirty, worn or damaged USB-C port flex cable.
In our workshop we replace the battery in 1 to 2 hours. We use original or certified high-quality replacement batteries. After the replacement we check capacity, charging speed, temperature and how the tablet performs under load.
