Cooling system maintenance and thermal paste replacement

With daily PS4 use, around 15 to 20 g of dust can collect in the cooling system. CPU and GPU temperatures can then reach 80 to 90 °C, causing the console to slow down to avoid overheating. We recommend maintenance every 12 to 18 months. Our service includes:

• We clean the cooling fan, heatsink and air vents.

• We replace the thermal paste with a high-quality product rated at 5 W/m·K.

• We test the cooling system under load and check that the temperature does not exceed 60 °C.

HDMI port replacement

A damaged HDMI port is a common PS4 fault, particularly in Slim models. The picture may disappear, flicker or show interference. Our technicians:

• Remove the old HDMI port and clean the solder off the motherboard.

• Install a new HDMI port at the soldering station, with secure power and data connections.

• Check the picture in several resolution modes: 720p, 1080p and 4K.

DualShock 4 controller battery replacement

The DualShock 4 controller uses a 1000 mAh, 3.7 V lithium polymer battery. Common battery and charging faults include:

• The battery swells and presses against the casing from the inside.

• The controller drains quickly and lasts only 1 to 2 hours without charging.

• The charging port is damaged, so the controller does not charge the battery.
  We replace the battery with an original or a high-quality equivalent part. After the replacement, the controller usually runs for 6 to 8 hours without a break.

CMOS and RTC battery replacement

All PS4 models have a 3 V CR2032 lithium battery on the board to retain clock and BIOS settings. It usually wears out after 5 to 7 years, causing clock resets and date-verification or update errors. We fit a high-quality Panasonic CR2032 battery to restore reliable operation.

Hard drive (HDD or SSD) replacement and upgrade

We install higher-capacity drives: 500 GB to 2 TB HDDs or 500 GB to 1 TB SSDs. An upgrade can help if you run out of space for games, or if the old drive becomes noisy, loads menus slowly or reports errors. After replacement:

• We run a drive speed test with CrystalDiskMark.

• We transfer your games and prepare a reliable data backup.

PlayStation OS reinstallation and software updates

We install official Sony updates or reinstall the entire OS via Safe Mode. We fix software errors after failed updates, corrupted system files or a stuck boot. If your PS4 shows an error code, write it down before bringing the console in; this speeds up the diagnostics.

Liquid damage and board repair

• After exposure to moisture, we determine the extent of corrosion and replace faulty SMD components.

• After cleaning the board, we check the contacts, power lines and any oxidation residue.
