Capacity and charging. The manufacturer uses a 5,500 mAh dual battery. It supports 65 W HyperCharge via USB C PD 3.0 and 15 W Qi 1.3 wireless charging. The phone charges from 0 percent to 100 percent in about 39 minutes. After 30 minutes of gaming, the remaining battery usually allows you to keep going for at least another 3.4 hours.
Most common signs of wear. After about 500 full cycles, capacity often falls by at least 20 percent. Other signs include rapid discharge, unexpected shutdowns and sudden percentage drops from 20 percent to 0 percent.
Fault prevention. If you want the battery to wear more slowly, do not play games while charging the phone. The battery then heats up more, and high temperature accelerates ageing. When gaming it is more convenient to use the side USB C port, because the cable puts less pressure on the bottom connector.
Common ROG Phone 8 Pro faults and repairs

Battery management errors. Apps may freeze in the background and the battery may discharge unexpectedly. Based on diagnostic measurements, we reinstall ROG UI, update firmware or replace the battery.
