Power supply and cooling system

Power supply unit

• The original Xbox One uses an external power adapter rated at 203 W (12 V, 17 A);

• Common faults include capacitors swelling from excessive heat or voltage fluctuations, oxidized connections and internal transformers that crackle or “explode”.

• We replace capacitors, clean heat sinks and connections, and solder faulty components.

Cooling system

• Inside are a 70 mm radial fan (DC 5 V), cooling heatsinks and thermal paste on the APU and GPU;

• Dust can jam worn fan bearings. Thermal paste can dry out after ~2–3 years, raising chip temperatures;

• We fully dismantle the cooling module, replace the fan or restore its bearing, and apply long-lasting thermal paste.

Internal storage and hard drive replacement

• Standard internal HDDs are usually 500 GB or 1 TB 2.5″ SATA drives running at 5400–7200 RPM;

• Common faults include worn heads or motor bearings, bad sectors and freezing with the click-of-death;

• We offer an upgrade to SSD (120–512 GB) or larger 1–2 TB HDDs, with data migration and OS optimization for faster boot times.

Controller battery and electronic faults

• The Xbox One wireless controller uses two AA batteries or 1400–2000 mAh NiMH rechargeable batteries;

• Common faults include reduced battery capacity after ~300 charge cycles, corroded contacts, cracked casing, and worn plastic buttons or analog sticks;

• We replace battery holders and contacts, update buttons and joysticks, and recommend switching to official or high-quality third-party rechargeable batteries.

HDMI port and connector replacement

• The original Xbox One HDMI port has 19 contacts and is often damaged by inserting or removing the plug at the wrong angle;

• Symptoms include a blank screen, flickering and distorted colors;

• For Xbox One repairs we provide a 3-month warranty.

Software updates and system reinstallation

• Xbox One OS runs from NAND memory chips (4 GB), and updates are distributed via LAN or USB;

• Common faults include corrupted NAND sectors that prevent startup and system freezes during updates;

• We reinstall the OS, recover NAND chips and install the latest official 10.x versions.

Liquid damage and board repair

• Moisture exposure commonly causes PCB corrosion, short circuits and damaged insulation;

• We clean the board with special solvents, restore solder joints, and, if necessary, solder new components.
