iPad Air screen and glass replacement
Whether your iPad needs glass-only or full screen replacement depends on the model and damage:
iPad Air (3rd generation, A2152, A2123): Has a 10.5-inch Retina display (2224×1668). Here, the glass and LCD are separate components, so if the glass breaks but the display works, only the top layer is replaced.
iPad Air (4th and 5th generation, A2316, A2588): Uses a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina fully laminated display (2360×1640). Although technically it is a module, Fixas technicians can safely replace just the glass using vacuum adhesive stations, as long as the original LCD matrix is intact (no stains or lines).
Important: After the repair, the display quality remains unchanged because your original matrix stays intact. We recommend additionally applying a protective glass to shield the new layer from micro-scratches.
