Cooling system maintenance and repair

– For cooling-system maintenance on all PS5 models, we use a vacuum smoke extractor with up to 99% dust removal efficiency.

– Common faults include a fan clogged with dust or pet hair, worn bearings and an overheating copper heat plate.

HDMI port replacement

– We replace the PS5 HDMI 2.1 port (19 pins, 4K@120 Hz support) with quality GamersGate EC conn. components.
– Symptoms include video signal dropouts, screen flickering and faulty HDR support.

Internal SSD replacement and upgrades

– The original board supports an M.2 2280 NVMe module up to PCIe 4.0 x4, with a maximum speed of 7 GB/s.
– For greater capacity or speed, we fit modules up to 4 TB and check compatibility with PS5 OS.

OS reinstallation and software

– We restore or update the system software (versions 2.0–5.0 and newer), including “safe mode” operations.
– Most common failure: operating system file corruption after a power outage.

Controller (DualSense) repair

– The controller houses a 1560 mAh lithium polymer battery (3.7 V), with an average lifespan of about 2–3 years (300–500 charge cycles).
– Common faults include reduced battery capacity, swelling, broken buttons and jammed adaptive triggers.

Liquid damage repair

– We restore moisture-damaged boards using an ultrasonic bath and specialized chemical cleaners.
– Water or beer can cause a short circuit. We repair the affected circuits and replace damaged extensions.

CMOS clock battery replacement

– The 3 V CR2032 button cell battery powering the PS5 board’s CMOS module should be replaced every 5–7 years to prevent clock and BIOS settings from being lost.
– Symptoms include repeated date and time resets and unusual system errors during startup.
