MacBook Air 13″ M2 specifications and repairs

MacBook Air M2 (2022) has a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with 2560 × 1664 resolution and the P3 colour gamut. Repairs require a detailed understanding of Apple architecture. Fixas technicians offer the following services:

  • Display assembly replacement: We replace damaged LCD modules, retaining 500 nits brightness and True Tone functionality.

  • MagSafe 3 charging port repair: We repair oxidation and mechanical damage to the magnetic connector.

  • Keyboard and trackpad replacement: The M2 model uses an improved Magic Keyboard. We repair sticking keys and lost haptic feedback.

  • Motherboard component repair: We repair voltage regulators and replace chips damaged by power surges.

  • Speaker system repair: The four-speaker system needs precise assembly to retain Spatial Audio quality.

MacBook Air 13″ M2 (2022) battery replacement

Despite the capacity of the factory-fitted 52.6 Wh lithium polymer battery, Apple Silicon users often report early capacity loss. If Battery Health falls below 80%, the system may slow down or shut down unexpectedly.

When should you contact Fixas?

  • Capacity loss: M2 models sometimes arrive for repair with 84-88% battery capacity after only 150-200 charging cycles.

  • Battery swelling: A swollen battery is dangerous and can permanently damage the housing or Force Touch trackpad.

  • Uneven charging: The computer may have trouble recognising 67W or 35W USB-C power adapters.

We replace batteries within 1-2 hours. We use original parts or certified high-quality equivalents for a stable 11.95 V supply and up to 15 hours of wireless web browsing.

Passive cooling system maintenance

MacBook Air M2 (2022) has no fan and uses a heat spreader to dissipate heat. Dust on internal components or old thermal paste therefore raises processor temperature.

Why service it every 12 months? In passively cooled devices, frequent temperature changes dry thermal paste faster. We clean the interior carefully and replace the factory paste with highly conductive materials. This protects the M2 chip from throttling, or automatic power limiting, and helps it run smoothly during 4K video editing and other demanding tasks.

Why choose Fixas?

We value our reputation and care for every device. Customers recommend us for:

  1. Transparency: Diagnostics are free and take 10-15 minutes. We agree on the price before work begins.

  2. Speed: We stock most MacBook Air M2 components, keeping repair times short.

  3. Convenience: Find us at Kedrų g. 5, Naujamiestis, Vilnius, across from Rimi Hypermarket, with easy access and parking.
